Rumor: Slimmer PS3 On The Way

It is rumored that a slimmer version of the Sony PS3 is heading its way to the shelves. It is told that the current 80GB version will be replaced by a greater 160GB. If that is so, there is a possibility that the slimmer PS3 will hold the current 80GB standard.

What’s it going to look like then? Remember the ole faithful PS2? And the slim PS2? Yes, the PS3 should look rather alike with it. We are hoping that there will be a 50% price slash on this, fingers crossed really hard this time.

Sony’s latest mainstream DSLRs cameras got the seal of officialness this past Saturday, and now the company’s added some icing to the cake by releasing of plethora of pictures for its α230, α330, and α380. Direct your eyes lovingly at the articulating screens and SD/SDHC card slots in the gallery below. Pre-orders for the trio are supposed to start today at Sony’s official retail site, but as of this writing, they’re not yet there.

2 New Bluetooth Headphones From Sony

Since Sony is going all out to retake the music industry, they have released 2 spanking new headphones, Bluetooth style. The company unveiled the DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101 Bluetooth headphones. Spec list, the BT100CX (in-ear), features 9mm drivers, 8-hour battery life with 120-hour standby and an inline controller. The BT101, its the sort of earphones that fits over your ears, controls are directly built into the device, 30mm drivers and a 12 hour battery life with 200 hour standby.

Downside of these? It still seems that the short cable on the BT100CX is as fragile as the FX-series. The BT101? Its plain bulk, but that has never stopped any enthusiasts.

The UK Government Change4Life Campaign has made a claim, a claim that draws a parallel relation between gamers and heart disease + early death. Guess what? I’ve died countless times, in the virtual world of course, but that said, how did this claim surface? It seems that the Change4Life Campaign have appeared in several UK women’s magazine depicting a gamer sitting in front of a console, waiting for cancer, cardiac arrest perhaps?

Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all and are commenting on the new government campaign, what they are saying is “Change4Life’s advertising campaign makes a mockery of everything the industry has achieved in the last decade”.

It’s like explaining to parents that The Gaming Industry is Killing Their Children!

Sony’s Fuel Cells and Cola Power

Sony will be showing off the latest revision of its Hybrid Fuel Cell Technology in the FC EXPO 2009, Tokyo, which is in 2 days time. The framework consists both a methanol fuel cell and a Li-on battery, enabling it to intelligently switch between power from the battery, fuel or even both. This sounds like a Toyota Prius. There will be 2 sizes on display, a portable model that will allow you to charge on the go, for a week and a bigger model that can last for a month. Sony will also be demonstrating an updated and a more efficiend version of its sugar batttery, which of course per-se, runs on Cola. Cola doens’t just make your kids hyped, your gadgets too!

The Sony’s OLED Walkman, its packed with a touchscreen, 16GB or 32GB. Currently, the Walkman can only be obtained through Amazon, UK. The 16GB is going for USD$308 and the 32GB is going out for USD$407. The battery life for this baby is very promising, and with OLED, that will surely make greenpeace happy.

PlayStation Controller Causes Palm Lesions

“PlayStation palmar hidradenitis”, that’s what they call it. It seems that this skin disorder is caused by excessive prolonged gaming sessions. The condition is marked by painful lumps that appears on palms. This disorder is diagnosed by a 12-year-old girl who visited the Geneva Hospital with hand lesions, she got this disorder from hours-long gaming marathon. Well, good news is that she fully recovered after a 10 day PlayStation Hiatus!

This case sounds like how people are blaming McDonald for making them Fat. Get a life people!
