I do agree with many that the iPhone 4G that was left behind with Gizmodo a couple days back is ugly, not ugly per se, but just very un-apple-like. Instead of a chunky squary piece of metal, what about adapting a mix of what the 3gs and the 1st gen iPhone incorporated?
This is what it should look like, in-fact, the person who sketched this should be hired by Apple.
