MCE, the first company that released the first internal Mac Pro Blu-ray Burner, it originally boasted 2X speed at a price of USD$699. Well, MCE launched a faster 8X Blu-Ray read / write and 16X DVD±R/W, and the price tag? USD$400.

It basically works with all the major software’s on a Mac. That said, if you want to play Blu-ray movies, you would have to do a dual boot, switch on windows. Well, we will have to wait for Apple to develop the support for Blue-ray for OS X.
