Apple Patent On Unibody iPod

With the new Unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro, Apple’s design crew have been working overtime to incorporate the unibody (aluminum) design to the iPod’s. The patent shows that the new iPod’s casing will be carved out of a single large and thick block of sheet metal.
The material and design will make the iPod lighter, thinner and way way more solid.
That said, with all the hoo-ha’s over the unibody 17-inch MacBook Pro (internal battery), the iPod will also adopt the same problem, meaning that it would be harder to take the iPod apart, this will obviously force consumers in turning themselves back to Apple for any future services.
We all hope that the Unibody design will bring down the cost and of course, lower down the retail prices.
