The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Formula 1 of course. With the top of the range technology in the automotive industry, nothing seems to be impossible to grasp. And now, with the help of Vodafone, it is now impossible to navigate a scaled down model of the McLaren on an office desks and negotiating a circuit that is constructed from toilet rolls and office hardware. But that’s not enough; they are now stepping up to the real thing.
Armed with a Mobile Phone (Blackberry Storm), Lewis Hamilton drove the full-scale working McLaren Mercedes out of the pit garage, and while standing by the sidelines; he runs the car around a small circuit.
“Vodafone tech is pretty mega,” McLaren Head of Communications Matt Bishop told ESPN Racing-Live. “I wouldn’t say it replaces the need for Lewis Hamilton, because he’s pretty mega too.
It is known that Williams and Renault both lapped the Silverstone circuit minus a driver some time ago, and with these technology improvements, really, nothing is impossible.
