ASU Flexible Display

Arizona State University’s Flexible Display Center and Military Partners have developed the First Display with a Flexible Touch Screen. The development is mainly designed for military purposes, where the screen is made out of glass, which is strong enough to withstand the harsh conditions on the battlefield.

The device incorporates special material from DuPont Tijin Films, which of course allows the paper-thin display to bend or roll without damaging the device. The device also uses technology from E-ink Corp, which allows users to write, store and erase contents on the displays. Hopefully soon, the screen will be available in full colour, and maybe some amazing multi-touch technology. Military missions will be a step more exciting with this! Better hope that they will pay more attention on their lives than on the screens.
